- We match delicious food that is in season with our client menus and customers’ pockets in terms of value.
- Fresh, seasonal foods are full of flavour and higher in vitamins and minerals. Abundant food in season is also good value and means either the catering subsidy can be minimised or employees benefit from lower tariffs.
- We support as many local companies, striving to buy our fruit, vegetables, dairy, seafood and meats from our UK suppliers when in season. We’ve even changed our main grocery supplier to reflect our high demands.
- Food miles are kept to a minimum although there are some things that just don’t grow in the UK climate, without the aid of heated poly-tunnels at least, so we do look further afield for some more exotic ingredients. While we make the most of sun-warmed produce such as oranges, peaches and kiwi fruit from Southern Europe there are a few favourites – passion fruit, pomegranates, even bananas that just have to come from the other side of the world.
